Data Management
|
Description |
Good data management practices are becoming increasingly important in the digital age. Because we now have the technology to freely share research data and also because funding agencies want to do more with decreasing research funds, many funding agencies and journals require authors and grantees to share their research data. To provide training in this area, Tobin Magle, the Morgan Library's Data Management Specialist, is putting on a series of data management workshops called "Data and Donuts".

Details |
Will your research data still be useful after your project is finished? This month's Data and Donuts will convince you that the answer is yes and discuss best practices for preparing your data for archiving. We will discuss how to properly describe your data so that others, or you from 5 years from now, will know what it is and how to use it, as well as appropriate places to store it. We'll also discuss options for repositories that will allow others to access your research data, including CSU's digital repository.
