Nature of Work:

Perform typical duties and responsibilities of an entry level auditor, but under the direct supervision of a qualified departmental auditor. Typically, work emphasis for this auditor will be an extraction of data from university computer databases for use in the development of schedule and reports for audit purposes.

Examples of Work:

Emphasis will be on identifying data that will assist in accomplishing audits within the department. Primarily using the Delphi module for accessing university databases, the intern would extract data based on specific criteria for use as either exception reporting or various configuration of cumulative reports.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

-Basic knowledge of accounting.
-Basic knowledge of database and spreadsheet software packages and interest in learning mainframe databases and university networks.

Minimum Preparation for Work:

-Upper division student in College of Business
-Undergraduate work should contain courses in computer science, or business computing, and general accounting courses.
-Recommended by major professors.
