Nature of Work:

This position serves as assistant to or substitute for technical, professional or administrative personnel during peak periods of activity and during times when full time personnel are off duty.

Examples of Work:

-Assists evening Building Manager and serves as Building Manager on weekends when full time personnel are off duty.
-Has responsibility for management of the entire facility operation, including scheduling, planning and execution of activities within the facility. Assists users of the facility thru experience and knowledge, in making the best use of the facility.
-Responsible for the security of the entire facility and it's contents in regards to fire, theft, vandalism, and the comfort and safety of it's occupants.
-Responsible for crown control in theatre, ballrooms, and meeting rooms.
-Responsible for coordinating deposits and change funds for other areas of the facility.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

-Must have ability to meet and work closely with students, faculty and staff, conference participants and the general public.
-Must have a knowledge of Student Center Policies, and physical facilities such as fire alarms, burglar alarms, sound equipment, etc.

Minimum Preparation for Work

-Should have experience with building, cleaning, and set up crews, preferably as a student supervisor (Student Management I position).
-Prefer junior, senior or graduate class standing.
