Nature of Work:

These positions require a unique level of expertise that is critical to the successful performance of assigned job duties. Work assignments for these positions are delegated by management and the positions operate independently after receiving assignment. Work requires creativity, initiative, communication skills, and prior experience in the assigned area. Employees in these positions work independently in a variety of positions within Campus Recreation dependent on leadership experience and related qualifications: assisting professional staff with program design, implementation, coordination, and integration; analyze assessment data and draft reports; and training/leader positions for department full-time and student staff.

Student Program Coordinator; Strength & Fitness Trainer; Lifeguard Trainer; Challenge Course Facilitator; Instructional Class Leaders; First Aid/CPR/AED Trainer; Web Use Trainer; Software Use Trainer.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Training and/or certification relevant to specific job assignment; trainer, coordinator, leadership, or instructor experience.

Minimum Preparation for Work:

Demonstrated success in prior leadership, trainer, or instructor position.
