Nature of Work:

On-stage, backstage, or special group performance of roles or technical work by actors, musicians, dancers, and technical theatre workers.

Some Examples of Work:

A student musician who plays his own instrument in a pit orchestra for a musical, opera, or other special performance. An actor who performs on campus for a special group or for workshops or other special functions. A dancer who performs for a group of in a musical or opera. A theatre technician called in to run scenic crews, lighting, or other technical functions for a production on campus, a special group performance, or other like circumstances.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Talent and skill as a musical performer, actor, dancer, or theatre technician. Usually performer is chosen through recommendation of classroom teachers or recommendation of professors who have worked with the performer and/or by audition for the specific role, music, or dance.

Minimum Preparation for Work:

Should have skills that come recommended by others who have performed or taught this person and should pass any audition process required.
