Nature of Work:

Veterinary support services in the area of: hematology, blood chemistry, blood gas, urinalysis, fluid analysis and radiology. This classification will be used exclusively for call back (emergency) procedures after normal working hours. Night duty technicians working within assigned schedules as determined by V.T.H. administration will normally be classified at either veterinary technician B or veterinary specialist I levels.

Some Examples of Work:

-Process blood, urine and other biological samples following appropriate laboratory procedures and protocol.
-Radiograph large and small animals following radiology section policies and procedures.
- Process paperwork on tests and radiographs following established business procedures.
- Other tasks as assigned or required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Minimum Preparation for Work:

Certified Veterinary Technician or graduation from an AVMA accredited veterinary technician program.
