Hello Everyone,


We've identified data discrepancies with student data in the ODS.  We will be doing a full reload of student data to correct this issue.  All ODS accounts will be locked starting around 12:30 pm today, Monday, to facilitate a faster reload of student data.  We're estimating the reload process to take up to 24 hours.

Description ODS migration to new hardware

Hi Folks,

 

It’s time for the production ODS system to move to new hardware (Oracle Exadata).  Starting around 12:00 pm (noon) on Friday, March 24th the ODS system will be unavailable for ~38 hours while the team moves the ODS database to new hardware and a new address.

 

To connect to the production instance of the ODS (ODSPROD) after the migration, you’ll need to update your Oracle address file, TNSNAMES.ora.  The updated file can be downloaded here or through AAR.colostate.edu (look for the Database Information for LAN Managers link).  If you’re not familiar with updating your tnsnames.ora file, please contact your helpdesk person.

 

After updating the tnsnames.ora file, everything should function same as it does today.  If you run into difficulties and have already updated your tnsnames.ora file, we’ll do our best to help but may need to coordinate support with your helpdesk person.

The Division of IT will be conducting maintenance work on Sunday, March 26th from 6:30 AM to 12:00PM.  The maintenance work requires AppMan, Banner Admin Pages, Self-Service Banner, and the HR (Oracle EBS) system to be offline during this time.  This maintenance does not affect TimeClock Plus or TMS, Talent Management System.  All other systems not specifically mentioned are not affected by this work.
