Echo360 Help

Important Announcements for Faculty

  • Echo360 Course Sections will be created as follows:
    • Summer 2021: Friday, March 12
    • Fall 2021: Friday, April 9 (just before Spring Break)
Make sure all course sections, room assignments and teaching faculty are listed correctly in ARIESweb through the Registrar.
  • New in Spring 2021: You will need to create your own recording schedules. They are no longer automatically created. See Faculty > Create/Manage Schedules and Recordings.
  • Combine Recordings: You will need to combine recording schedules of hybrid Spring 2021 course sections in Echo360 before linking the Echo360 section in their Canvas course.
  • Do you plan on leveraging recordings that you made in the past for this semester?
Here are two typical ways this can be done in Echo360. *Note: Copying recordings is typically reserved for editing purposes only.
Echo360 Recording Example
Echo360 records lectures in 200 CSU classrooms.

Echo360 is a lecture capture technology that provides the ability to record audio, computer screen content and (optional) video of the instructor and make it available to students online. Live Stream allows students to watch remotely and is enabled for all scheduled classroom recordings.

Get Started: Review the Echo360 recording options, and steps to provide student access to your Echo360 recordings.

Log in to Canvas, select your course, and click the Echo360 tab to access the LIVE stream or view recorded videos and other Echo360 content. Student Instructions
