Error Registration for this event will open on 11/2/2017 11:30 AM

Category Data Management Coding
Description Good data management practices are becoming increasingly important in the digital age. Because we now have the technology to freely share research data and also because funding agencies want to do more with decreasing research funds, many funding agencies and journals require authors and grantees to share their research data. To provide training in coding for data management, Tobin Magle, the Morgan Library's Data Management Specialist, is putting on a series of data management workshops called "Coding and Cookies".
Details What you can do with your data depends strongly on how its formatted. This month's coding and cookies will cover how to manipulate datasets using an R package called dplyr. After this session, you will be able to subset, reformat and summarize your data.
Prerequisites A basic working knowledge of R and R studio would be helpful for you to get the most out of this session.
