CSU Text Book Awards

There will be 5 awards given out each semester between fall 2009 - spring 2011.  There will be notices sent out over the veteran listserv of when we will be accepting applications. 

Pat Tillman Scholarship

The Pat Tillman Foundation was created by Pat's family and friends, following his death in April 2004. As a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization, the Foundation's goal and mission is to carry forward Pat's legacy by inspiring people to make positive changes in themselves and in the world around them.  Go to the following website to find out more about Pat Tillman, the Pat Tillman Foundation and scholarship opportunities.

Dream What You Love Scholarship  

A $500 shcolarship awarded annually to provide financial assistance to a student who meets the following criteria:

Undergraduate, full time student enrolled in 12 or more credits; Minumum CSU accumulative GPA of 2.0; Preference will be given to single parents with sole custody; Have an identified educational goal; Past recipients not eligible.

Deb Peterson Outstanding Adult Student of the Year Award   

$500 annual award established to recognize a student who has, or is currently undergoing and etra-ordinary amount of hardship and yet, maintains a positive attitude and an unwavering spirit in the pursuit or their undergraduate or graduate degree. One recipient is selected per year.

Students must be 23 years of age or older; currently enrolled full time; undergraduate or graduate; and have experienced unusual hardship in the course of completing their degree.

Osher Reentry Scholarship

$2000 dollar scholarship per semester for up to four semesters. Candidates must: be between ages of 25 and 50(resident and non resident allowed); Be working toward completing first bachelor's degree; Have an enrollment gap of at least five years (does not have to be continuous) while working toward a first bachelor's degree; If you are currently enrolled at CSU you may apply if you have a minimum of 60 credits toward your selected major; If you are transferring, you must be transferring at least 60 credits must apply to your selected major; Have already applied and been accepted into CSU; Demonstrate financial need as determined by FAFSA(Fafsa mut be completed; Have a minimum GPA of 2.75 for all college/university credits already taken; Anticipate at least 10+ years or workforce participation following graduation.
