This year's Veterans Day 5k
will be held in honor of:
Army Staff Sgt. Michael C. Parrott
Army Staff Sgt. Michael C. Parrott, 49, was assigned to the Joint Forces Headquarters, Colorado Army National Guard in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Michael lived in Timnath, CO and worked for Facilities Management for Colorado State University.
On Nov. 10, 2005, Michael died of injuries sustained in Khalidiyah, Iraq, where his unit was attacked by enemy forces using small arms fire.
Support Student Veterans:
Net proceeds from this race will be used toward the (Veteran) Scholarship Fund at CSU with the intent to support future leaders and the men and women who have paid service to us.
